The Good, The Bad, and the...

Alrighty!  Weigh In Day!

Before posting the results, let me give a break down of my past week.  As I mentioned, the Hubs and I were spending time with the in-laws all weekend.  We actually went to their house for the weekend (Friday-Monday since Monday was a holiday and we were both off work), but I didn't specifically say we were going to their house because of crazies on the internet! =)  So, that lets you know it was even MORE difficult due to the fact that we weren't at home so we couldn't prepare our own meals.

Exercise was non-existent for me while we were there (and actually, we didn't work out at all this week...fail).  We slept late, stayed up late, and just had a good time.  Once we got home, we kinda fell into that same pattern again lol.  The only exercise I recorded on my WW log was shopping, which we did for around three hours on Saturday, so that was about the most movement I had while on our mini vacay.

The food we ate was still halfway decent.  We had Subway while out shopping, and then we made sure to eat healthy options if we went out.  Wait...I need to stop saying "we" because the Hubs decided to eat things that weren't on our healthy option menu.  He splurged I guess. =)  One night my sister-in-law made a really good ground turkey meatloaf, greens, scalloped potatoes, and italian bread.  I had a normal portion of all, but I wanted a second plate sooooooo bad.  I resisted and since I resisted, I allowed myself to have a small helping of apple crisp and chocolate ice cream.  Needless to say, I did go over my daily WW points that day, but surprisingly I didn't go over my extra points for my whole week!

Once we got back, it was back to the work grind.  I bought myself a stability ball to sit on at work.  I can't sit on it all day because it's annoying to roll around, but I try to sit on it for a few hours to help burn some kinda calories a day in the office.  I also made some bad food choices this week once we got home.  I hadn't had a chance to buy groceries or make a new menu for the week so we did eat a frozen pizza one night (not the whole thing, but we ate some lol), and we had Chic-fil-a another night after getting off work later than usual.  I still was able to stay in my WW points for those days though!

I have to say that not eating my usual Nutribullet breakfast (mostly I have been having a McDonalds Egg McMuffin since I need to buy my fresh veggies and fruits) and not working out has made me a bit more sluggish.  I noticed I did have a migraine twice this week...not sure if that is related to my "off" week.

Soooooooo............with all this negative/off week talk, its time to get to the results.

I actually lost 2 pounds this week!  WHAT??!!  Not that I condone my actions or choices this week, but that is pretty rad (do people still say that?) to see that staying on the WW points can really help in still losing weight.

That makes my total loss since January 1st, 7 pounds.  I am okay with this number (it's not Biggest Loser number, but who does that?!) because this is hopefully going to help me achieve my goal of 10 pounds a month.  I know that 10 pounds a month is a pretty healthy rate to lose.  If I have lost 50 pounds by the end of May, I will be doing a happy dance! (Viral video to follow)

My measurements seemed to be more reflective of my choices this week.  I only lost 1/5 inch for my total combined inches. I lost that in my chest (bye-bye tatas..okay more like bye-bye back fat)  Everything else stayed the same.  So this just goes to show, that while your scale may be good one week and measurements aren't it can be just the opposite the next week!

So this week, it's back to the GRIND.  I am going to go shopping tomorrow for all our meals for the next week, then  I will make another meal plan for the following two weeks.

My in-laws will be here the first two weekends in February, so I will be cooking for them and making sure we are eating good, but not eating crazy!  I looooove cook, especially for company. =)

Well, on to next week, ya'll!  I will keep ya posted as things progress.

If you are in the weight loss world, please post some ideas or suggestions you have! The more the merrier!  Strength in numbers, people...strength in numbers! ;)
